Cherokee District Ruritan Open Car Show Is July 31

The 2005 Cherokee District Ruritan Open Car Show is set for July 31 at the Riverpark off Amnicola Highway.

All proceeds after expenses from this event will be donated to Habitat for Humanity. The Ruritan Clubs are building a house off Shepherd Road, with construction to begin in August, and completion scheduled for January. The fund-raising goal is $50,000.

Pre-registration forms are due by July 16, payable to Ruritan Club, P. O. Box 21, Harrison, Tn 37341. Pre-registration fee is $15, and $20 the day of the show.

The car show will be from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., with a church service at 11 a.m. Judging will begin at noon.

Vendors are welcome with a $50 pre-registration fee.
