Bad Ass Coffee Company Leaving Downtown For Hixson

  • Thursday, September 1, 2005

The Bad Ass Coffee Company will celebrate its relocation to Hixson with a grand opening on Sept. 12. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at noon.

The business is located at 1948 Northpoint Boulevard, Suite C, next to the Home Depot.

Bad Ass specializes in 100 percent Kona coffee from Hawaii—the only American-grown coffee. The business also has 26 different signature lattes that can be prepared hot, iced or frozen.

It serves breakfast and lunch all day, with a menu that includes paninis, wraps, soups and desserts. Bad Ass Coffee is for sale in bags as well as cups, and the company offers BadAss Coffee logo merchandize, featuring the Bad Ass donkey.

Nikki Barclay, who owns the business, worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years then as a registered nurse for 10 years before opening Bad Ass Coffee 18 months ago on Market Street.

“We are moving to provide our customers with better parking, accessibility and a drive-through window,” she said.

Bad Ass will be open Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Arrangements for the grand opening are being made by the member-investor services department of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce.
