Eddy Lee Crownover, 49, died on Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, after a two-year struggle with cancer.
He was a member of Franklin Road Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, TN. He was baptized in his early years at White Oak Church of Christ in Chattanooga. He graduated from Red Bank High School, and received a B.S. from the University of Tennessee with a major in finance and economics. He was a member of Sigma Iota Epsilon fraternity, Omicon Delta Epsilon honor society and FMA National Honor Society.
At the time of his illness, he was employed as a sales representative for Middle Tennessee with Tri-State Hydraulics in Chattanooga.
He was a lover of outdoors and nature, participated in sports, especially football, and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by one son, Thomas Lee Crownover; parents, Maurice and Shirley Crownover; brother, Joseph M. Crownover; special cousin, Douglas Payne; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Eddy was preceded in death by grandparents, Lee and Annie Crownover, of Anderson, TN, and Ed and Kate Raulston, of Bridgeport, AL; uncles, James M. Crownover, and George W. Crownover; and aunt, Martha L. Garner.
The funeral will be Thursday, at 11 a.m. CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Brother Ray Winton and Brother Chris L. Whiteaker. Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, TN.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL.
