James R. "Russ" Dedrick was confirmed late Thursday as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and Ed Yarbrough was confirmed as U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee.
Sen. Lamar Alexander said, "Russ" Dedrick has provided steady leadership as the acting U.S. Attorney for the last two years. He has strong support from the East Tennessee law enforcement community and has earned this vote of confidence by the U.S. Senate.”
“I’m pleased that Russ Dedrick has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate, so he can continue his important service as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee,” said Sen. Bob Corker.
“Ed Yarbrough will bring maturity, professionalism and deep community roots to the U.S. Attorney’s office,” Sen. Alexander said. “Middle Tennessee will benefit from Ed’s long, distinguished legal career.”
“I’m glad Ed Yarbrough was given a swift confirmation by the U.S. Senate, and believe his years of experience will serve the Middle District of Tennessee well,” said Sen. Corker.
