Sixteen non-invasive cardiac technicians at Erlanger Health System have attained EKG certification from the National Healthcare Career Association.
In making the announcement, Karen Romine, RN, nurse manager of Erlanger non-invasive cardiology, said the techs completed an intensive, ten-week course and passed a detailed certification examination.
The National Healthcare Career Association is the largest allied healthcare certification agency in the U.S. with over 150,000 certified and 950 certification testing sites. NHA has become the leading organization of its kind in healthcare certification, continuing education, and working with educational institutions throughout the country in curriculum development, competency testing, and preparation for national certification exams.
Ms. Romine added, “This achievement reflects the techs’ dedication to providing exceptional care, every time for Erlanger cardiac patients. These techs play a critical role in monitoring and performing non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures on the tiniest babies to adults. Their certification adds to the reputation for excellence that the Erlanger cardiovascular program enjoys.”
The techs who will now add CET (Certified EKG Technician) to their credentials were honored with a reception at the Erlanger Baroness Campus on June 21. Their names are:
