Epperson, Mary "Kitty" Coffman Teague

Mary "Kitty" Coffman Teague Epperson, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, died on Sunday, November 9, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Florence Coffman and was preceded in death by her former husbands, C.M. "Bo" Bearfield and Frank L. Teague, Sr., three brothers, Ernest Coffman, Ira Coffman, Spencer Coffman, sister, Violet Opal Haney, nephew, Bill Coffman, and two great-nephews, William Coffman and James Coffman.

She was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Lee Highway Trinity Church.

Survivors include her husband, John Epperson, of Ooltewah, Tn.; five children, Karen Teague (David) Reed, of Chattanooga, Frank L. (Carole) Teague, Jr., of Tunnel Hill, Ga., Wendy (William) White, Larry Epperson, Brian Epperson, all of O’Fallon, Mo.; brother, Joe L. Coffman, of Gallatin, Tn.; grandchildren, Karlee LaDuke, Zachary Rutherford, Dustin Reed, Ashley Teague, Craig Copeland, Cari Feldewerth, Chelsea Epperson, Cory Epperson, Jessica Epperson, Jeremy Epperson; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Helen Coffman, of Harrison, Tn., Cindy Harrison, of Bushnell, Fl., Joe L. Coffman, Jr., of Las Vegas, Ne., Judy Lee, of Lebanon, Tn., Spencer W. Coffman, of Ak.; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Layne and Pastor Larry Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens – East.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the caregivers and friends that loved and helped her.
