John Ruben Stokes, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at a local health care facility.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Genevie Stokes; siblings, Irene Wynn, Inez McDaniel, Dolly Hammonds, Mildred Barker, Senora Davis, James and Louis Stokes.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews of Detroit, Mi., Atlanta, Ga., Los Angeles, Ca., and Chattanooga, Tn.; special niece and caregiver, Tommye S. Bryson; a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at National Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Black of Washington Hills UMC officiating.
Visitation will be after noon on Wednesday at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
