Gingerbread Lane At Chattanooga Market Sunday

Chattanooga Market kicks off the holiday shopping season Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Several area school children have been busy making gingerbread houses - Best In Show will be awarded by popular vote.

Live On Point organization in conjunction with Girls Preparatory School will be providing a bounce house, temporary tattoos and face painting for our younger audience. Gingerbread house building demos will be conducted by area bakers.

Tickets for these activities are $1 each. Proceeds will go towards a GPS scholarship in the name of former student and Live On Point board member, Palmer Griffin, who lost her battle with leukemia in 2007.

There will be a Coats For Kids drop spot at Chattanooga Market Sunday through Dec. 6. Folks can bring their new and used warm coats for donation at Chattanooga Market each Sunday through Dec. 6 and also at the Holiday Market Saturday, Dec. 5.

There will be several boxes for collecting donations each Sunday for disbursement to those in need at no charge. All sizes are needed for adults and children.

Live entertainment will be provided by Dana Rogers from 12:3-1:30 p.m. and Jefferson Fox from 2-3 p.m.
