Pauline Hicks Burt, 77, of Cleveland, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 22, 2009 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie Hicks and Rossie Johnson Hicks; and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Ogle and Mable Tatum; and her brothers, Arthur Lee Hicks, Clyde Hicks, Winston Hicks, Fred Hicks and Ed Hicks.
She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Glynn Burt of Cleveland; one daughter, Stephanie Burt Tuschl and her husband Ray of White House, Tn.; one son, Philip Burt and his wife Anna of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Josh Burt, Hannah Burt, Jacob Gable, Austin Gable; three step-grandchildren; one brother, Bennie Hicks of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27 at Jim Rush Funeral Homes, Wildwood Avenue Chapel with Reverend Larry Humbard officiating. Interment will follow in Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 26 from 6-9 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral Homes, Wildwood Avenue Chapel who is in charge of the arrangements.
