Maxine Heck
Maxine B. Heck, 85, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, June 28, 2009.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was born on December 29, 1923 to the late Harold and Bonnie Buck in Sioux City, Iowa. She had lived in the Chattanooga area for the past 53 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence N. Heck, and daughter, Bonnie C. Heck Payne.
She is survived by two sons, William Robert Heck of Chattanooga, and R. Richard Heck and wife Ann, of Harrison. Survivors also include four grandchildren, Major John Heck of Washington, D.C., Dr. Stephanie Heck Brodkin and husband Dr. Ted Brodkin of Philadelphia, Pa., Michael L. Payne and wife Tami of Cockysville, Md., and Kristin Heck Coverly and husband Derek Coverly of Ringgold; seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, from 2-8 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Hwy. 153.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, at 10 a.m. in the North Chapel. Services will be conducted by Pastor Ronnie Dotson.
Interment will follow at 11 a.m. at The Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family would especially like to thank all the nursing staff of Alexian Brothers, Signal Mtn., for all the help and care giving they provided for the past three years. Also the staff of the PACE program on E. 3rd. Street for all their assistance.
