Chattanooga Police Acquire New Armored Vehicle

The Chattanooga Police Department SWAT Team has acquired a new high risk Lenco Bearcat Armored Vehicle.
This vehicle is armored to provide additional safety to officers in high risk situations such as hostage rescues, barricaded gunmen, warrant service, protection details, officer and civilian rescues, and any other incidents that an armored vehicle would be needed to provide protection.

Police said vehicles similar to this have saved officers’ lives across the United States during high risk situations.
