21 Day Fitness Challenge Starts April 11

  • Tuesday, March 22, 2011

Friends for Families is sponsoring their first program addressing childhood obesity called the 21 Day Fitness Challenge.

The program is designed to develop healthy exercise habits for children, which will lead to a healthy lifestyle. The goal is to bring awareness to the health problem of childhood obesity.

Research shows that it takes 21 days to develop a habit. That's 21 days of going to the gym every day or exercising in some way every day, and 21 days of eating healthy.

The program is free and is designed for children 6–11 years old.

The program will be held at 1010 North Moore Road, (Brainerd Complex) starting on April 11, 5-6:15 p.m. Monday-Friday. Program will continue every day except weekends for three weeks ending Monday, April 25.

To sign up contact Bryan Mitchell at 402-5476 or Recreation Specialists, Demetrius Alexander at 425-3600.
