Myra Rothwell Morgan, 87, of Ooltewah, died on Saturday, April 16, 2011.
A native of Pikeville, Tn., she was a resident of the Chattanooga area most of her life, and was retired from Brock Candy Company with 40 years of service.
She was a member of the North River Alliance Church and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.
She was the daughter of the late William and Alice Rothwell and was the wife of the late Willie Morgan, married for 42 years.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Morgan Bacon; several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Debbie (Lebron) Morgan Sterchi and Marilyn (Eddie) Morgan Simmons; two grandsons, Jonathan Bacon and Stephen Simmons; granddaughter, Rebecca Bacon; great-granddaughter, Morgan Simmons; two sisters, Jewell (George) Rothwell Davis and Billie Rothwell Houston; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 18, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Duane Mabee, the Rev. Eddie Simmons and the Rev. Gene Hall officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North River Alliance Church or to Open Arms Care in Ooltewah.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
