Ingrid Peter
Ingrid Morris Peter "Library Lady," 63, died on April 16, 2012. She was born in Chattanooga, on April 5, 1949.
Ingrid was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Lee Howard; her father, Otis Morris; her husband, Yanka Peter; her older sister, Jacklyn A. Morris; her brother-in law, Monday Itiat; and her daughter-in-law, Andra Peter.
She is survived by her children, Itiat ‘Rocky’ (Kimberly), Peter (Celeste) and Marie (fiancé, Roderick Bowman); her sisters, Lee Wynn, Memphis, and Kimberly Wynn; her brother Anthony Morris; her stepdaughter, Uduak Silas, Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandchildren, Olivia Dunigan (called Lil’ Sugar by her Granny), Alexis and Isaiah Hayes; her nephew and niece, Bryce Wynn and Crystal Danielle Morris; her stepmother, Lugertha Morris; her sister-in-law, Timma Itiat, Jacksonville; special cousins, Phyllis McKnight and Connie Williamson; special friends, Loretta and Dwight Prater , Alice Henderson, Geraldine Powell, and Angela Harden; godsons, Leroy, Charleston, and Tevin Scott; a multitude of cousins and other family members; co-workers; EPB Mixed Bowling League teammates and children in daycare centers across Hamilton County.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, at noon at Second Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Paul A. McDaniel officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, April 20, with the family receiving friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
