Betty Louise Daugherty, 93, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

She was a member of Faith Community Wesleyan Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Daugherty had retired from Unum Provident Life and Accident Insurance Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ralph Daugherty; great-grandson, Vin Sedman; parents, R. J. and Jessie Head; brother, Thomas Head and sister, Jadena Myatt.

Survivors include her children, John Daugherty and wife, Lynda; David Daugherty and wife, Tammy; Raymond Daugherty and wife, Teresa; Belinda Sedman and husband Vincent; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Head and Dorothy Daugherty; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge with the Rev. David Cobb officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, May 20, at the funeral home.
