Slack - Melton Reunion June 3

The Slack - Melton reunion will be held at a new location on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 1:00pm at Englewood Community Center, 105 Carroll St, Englewood, TN 37329. 

Please bring covered dishes to share. Paper products and ice will be provided. Bring family genealogy information, old Bibles, pictures, keepsakes, hand-made crafts such as quilts and musical instruments, etc.  

In the mid 1830’s 3 sons of Tunis Slack from Loudon Co., VA came to McMinn Co., TN. They were Abraham, Ephriam and Samuel W. Slack. Three of Samuel W. & Sarah Reed Slack’s sons married 3 Melton sisters; daughters of John & Nancy Kelly Melton. Samuel P. Slack married Eliza Jane Melton; James Henry married Sarah Catherine Melton & William J. Harrison Slack married Mary Louise Melton. Mary Diana Slack married Isaac Leo Russell.
