UTC Golfers To Play in Auburn Tiger Invitational

The Chattanooga Mocs men’s golf team returns to action Monday at Auburn’s Tiger Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event is on the Lake Course at Grand National Golf Course in Opelika, Ala. The field plays 36 holes on Monday with a final 18 slated for Tuesday.

The tourney lineup includes senior Steven Fox (Hendersonville, Tenn.), juniors Davis Bunn (Knoxville, Tenn.), Chris Robb (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) and Benni Weilguni (Langenlois, Austria), and sophomore Liam Johnston (Dumfries, Scotland). This is the second straight event this five-some has competed in.

Chattanooga is one of six teams in the field ranked in Golfstat’s top 50. Auburn (21) and Wake Forest (24) both rank in the top 25. All-in-all, 12 programs ranked among the top 75 will battle over 54 holes.
