In April, 2012, Tenne-SEA (Student Environmental Alliance) opened a resale shop for gently used outdoor gear and clothing called the Gear Closet.  Since then, it has grown and this year joined forces with CleanVibes, the company which oversees clean up after big music festivals.

They were invited to Bonnaroo to to help them keep usable camping gear out of the landfill and returned with a truckload of gear.

Mollie Hermann of CleanVibes invited SEA to be part of the clean up crew again after the TomorrowWorld music festival last weekend just outside of Atlanta at the Bouckaerts Chattahoochee Hills.  They brought back a semi truck from Atlanta and the yard sale of tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, tarps and more will begin at noon Thursday.

The Gear Closet is open every day except Monday from 12-6 p.m. and is at 535 Cherokee Blvd. on the North Shore.

For more information, contact Tanner Lincoln at the Gear Closet, 421.413-3298 or tanner@caribbean-sea.org.
