Claiborne Kerr, Jr., 85, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in a local hospital.
He was a member of East Side Church of Christ. He was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid lover of boxing.
Mr. Kerr was the son of the late Claiborne Kerr, Sr. and Willie Mae Baker Kerr; and was also preceded in death by his three brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Catherine Kerr of Cleveland; five children, Belinda Carlock and husband, Bobby, Deborah Johnson and husband, Lester, Karrie Hyatt and husband, Russell, Randall Kerr and Ty Kerr; several precious grandchildren; several beloved great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 13, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Minister Jeff Archey and Minister Bill Maynard officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
His family will receive friends from 12-3 p.m. Saturday, December 13 at the funeral home prior to the service.
The family suggests memorials be made to the East Side Church of Christ Building Fund, PO Box 1434, Cleveland, TN 37364-1434.
