Underwood, Jerry Wayne (LaFayette)

Jerry  Wayne  Underwood,  69,  of  LaFayette,  GA, passed  away  Saturday,  December  20,  2014. 

He  was  the  son  of  the  late  Bill  Underwood.  Jerry  was a  1963  graduate  of  LaFayette  High  School  and  a  1964  graduate  of  North  Georgia  Technical  School.  He  was  a  pipe  fitter and  a  mechanical  contractor.

Jerry  is  survived  by  his  mother,  Louise  Smith  Underwood;  wife,  Jerri  Campbell  Underwood;  daughters,  Stacey  (Greg)  Chapman  and  Bonnie  Underwood  Forrester;  son,  Ben  Pack;  six  grandchildren;  one  great-grandchild; sisters,  Linda  (Joe)  Thrash  and  Marsha  (Hubert)  Brown;  and brother,  Terry  (Janet)  Underwood.

Graveside   service  will  be  held  Monday,  December  22,  at 3   p.m.  in  LaFayette  Memory  Gardens  with  Pastor  Todd  Smith  officiating. Pallbearers  will  be   Donny  Peppers,  Rodney  Webb,  Bill  Day,  Byron  Chapman,  Charlie  Bomar,  and  George  McDowell. Honoary  Pallbearers  will  be  Bill  Callahan, Gary  Dunlap,  Ken  Tucker,  Alex  Kitchens,  Curtis  Nuckolls,  and  Jeff  Pardon.

The  family  will  receive  friends  Monday,  December  22,  from 1-3 p.m.  at  the  funeral  home.

In  lieu  of  flowers  the  family  request  that  contributions  be  made  to  the  Second  Baptist  Church,  West  Main  St, LaFayette  in  Jerry’s  memory.

Wallis-Wilbanks  Funeral  Home,  LaFayette  is  in  charge  of  the  arrangements.
