Man Stabbed On Windsor Street In An Attempted Robbery

A man was stabbed in an attempted robbery on Thursday.

Chattanooga Police responded to 2000 Windsor Street around 11:45 p.m. Officers located the victim, Willie Tubbs, 57, suffering from a stab wound. Mr. Tubbs was transported to a local hospital by HCEMS for a non-life threatening laceration.

Investigators later spoke to Mr. Tubbs who stated that two unknown black men approached him and demanded money. After a brief struggle, Mr. Tubbs realized he was injured and called police.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423 698-2525.  The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
