Barry Raymond Fischer, 69, died peacefully at his home on Friday, January 16, 2015.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Barry was born Nov. 11, 1945, to Vince and Dorothy Fischer, the youngest of their five sons.

Barry graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1963 and from Memphis State University in 1969 with a degree in Business and Marketing. While at Memphis State, he was an active member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He spent most of his career in textile screen printing sales with Spectra, Inc. and later with Customwerks. He was actively involved with the Alumni Association of Notre Dame High School and had previously served on the Parents Advisory Council at Baylor School and as a vestry member at St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church. He also served on the board of the Redoubt Soccer Association and was instrumental in developing the Redoubt Youth Soccer Complex. He loved his Memphis Tigers and followed any sport or activity in which his two sons were involved.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Vince, David, Tommy, and Jim Fischer.

He is survived by his two sons, Reynolds Vincent Fischer and Barrett Andrew (Kelli) Fischer and two grandsons, Cadin Ray Fischer and London Arden Fischer all of Chattanooga. He is also survived by his nephews David (Michelle) Fischer and Scott (Jennifer) Fischer and his niece Kathie Fischer (Rick) Penland.  In addition, he is survived by his sisters-in-law Jane Fischer and Phyllis Mercer.

Services will be held at St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church on Monday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m., with Father Jim Wallace officiating. Visitation will be in the church atrium from 12-2 p.m. Burial will follow the service in St. Martin's Memorial Garden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church Building Fund at 7547 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
