Nationally-recognized classical music radio announcers Fred Child and Suzanne Bona concluded their two-day visit to Chattanooga Thursday night by attending the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra's performance of Brahm's Requiem.

Mr. Child, who hosts Performance Today, and Ms. Bona, creator and host of Sunday Baroque, were in the Scenic City to thank supporters of WSMC Radio.
Listeners of WSMC recently raised more than $70,000 in a fund drive designed to restore Performance Today and Pipe Dreams to the Collegedale station's regular programming.

On Wednesday, Mr. Child and Ms. Bona joined approximately 60 classical music enthusiasts on a cruise of the Tennessee River Gorge. Several prizes were awarded during the cruise, including tickets to Thursday evening's CSO performance at the Tivoli.

On Thursday morning, the pair performed two hours of broadcasting from the WSMC studios. They also attended a Rotary Club meeting and an open house at the radio station.
