Police have charged Solomon Lamar Pierce, 21, of 2109 Water St., with aggravated burglary after a Milne Street resident said he saw him taking items out of his neighbor's house.

Pierce is also charged with theft over $1,000, having contraband in a penal institution and criminal simulation.

In the incident on June 12, Michael Scott said someone entered his residence during the night and took his Samsung 65-inch TV while he was in the back bedroom asleep.

He said the TV is worth about $2,000.

A neighbor across the street said he saw Pierce carrying the stolen TV from the neighbor's house at about 3 a.m.

The neighbor said he knows Pierce from the neighborhood and said he had been at his house earlier that day.
