Dalton State Cheerleading Tryouts Will Take Place This Weekend

Dalton State Cheer Coach Robyn Pursley announces that tryouts for the 2015-2016 Spirit of Dalton Cheerleading Squad will be held this week.

Ms. Pursley said mandatory clinics will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at Bandy Gymnasium on the Dalton State College campus. 

She said she is searching for both male and female cheerleaders. Tryouts will follow beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, also at Bandy Gymnasium. 

Packets are due by Thursday, the first day of open tryout clinic. These packets can be mailed to Coach Robyn Pursley at 650 College Drive Dalton, GA 30720 or emailed to rnewell@daltonstate.edu.

The packets are available on the Dalton State Athletic Department website. Read through and complete the packet and attach to the above email.

Spirit of Dalton Tryouts Checklist:
• Tryout and Scholarship Applications are due on May 14 by hand-in on first day of tryouts, by mail or email.
• Video submission emailed to Coach Robyn Pursley at rnewell@daltonstate.edu with forms complete. Deadline is May 14, on first day on tryouts.
• Completed and signed application.
• Signed liability waiver (parents signature if under 18 years).
• Front and back copy of health insurance card.
• Copy of current physical.
• Copy of Roadrunner Card, Acceptance Letter, or written explanation of intent to apply.
• $35 registration fee (cash only).
