The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a woman involved with an armed robbery.

Police have warrants for the arrest of Kelsey Brooke Smith, 20, of 309 Rowena Street on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, and two counts of false imprisonment. Two other suspects have already been arrested in the case.

The robbery was committed last Friday, at a home at 1016 Dude Street in Dalton. Shortly after 9 pm, the victim reported that his friend Quindarus Jy’Kwon Fleming knocked on his door with a male and female unknown to the victim. The victim invited Fleming and the other two suspects, later identified as Dikembe Olajuwon Ester, 19, of 100 Marshall Drive, and Ms. Smith, into the home. The victim’s brother joined the group in the living room. Shortly after arriving, Ester pulled out a handgun and held the victims at gunpoint. He directed Ms. Smith to use zip ties to tie up the victims. While Ester held the victims, Ms. Smith and Fleming went through their belongings, stealing several items including a Droid Max cell phone, an Xbox 360, and approximately $400 in cash. The three left shortly afterwards in a maroon GMC Envoy.

Officers were able to locate the Envoy within the next two hours and took Quindarus Fleming, 19, of 826 Shugart Road, and Ester into custody. Both are charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, and two counts of false imprisonment.

Investigators continued to work on the case and developed evidence that Ms. Smith was the female suspect involved in the robbery and this afternoon obtained warrants for her arrest.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Brian Shirley at 706 278-9085, dial 9, and enter extension 189.
