AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation Hosts 6th Annual Luncheon

  • Tuesday, October 4, 2016

The AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation of Greater Chattanooga will be hosting its sixth annual luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center. The luncheon will feature keynote speaker Ray Nash, retired sheriff of Dorchester, SC and president of Police Dynamics Institute, Inc.

Since last year’s luncheon, the AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation has made several influential and crucial developments, including the purchase of the Training Lab Fire Arms Simulator, featured at last year’s event, with funds provided by businesses and individuals across the community. AEGIS was also able to ensure that every dog in K-9 units across Hamilton County has its own bulletproof vest.

“The AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation strives to provide resources to continuously secure and support a safer Hamilton County,” said Tom Edd Wilson, executive director of the AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation. “Ray Nash has personally trained more than 10,000 police officers, government officials and business leaders through his Police Dynamics program, and we hope his experiences will impact our local law enforcement and business community as they have influenced several countries and agencies across the world.”

With more than 37 years of law enforcement experience, Ray Nash retired in 2009 from his three terms as the elected sheriff in Dorchester County, SC to pursue an overseas mission. For more than three years, Mr. Nash supported the international police reform effort in Afghanistan as the Criminal Justice Advisor for the US Embassy in Kabul and the professional development director for the International Police Coordination board. Mr. Nash founded Focal Point Investigations and serves as its CEO and chief investigator.
