Edith H. Floyd, 98, of Chattanooga, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.

She was born May 16, 1917, in Scott County, Va., to the late Grover Cleveland Frazier and Lillie Mae Owens Frazier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Floyd; daughter, Wanda Mezo; eight brothers and sisters. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Priscilla Cobb and Deborah; son, Daniel (Daphne) Floyd; sisters, Ruth Page, and Monnie Smith; brothers, G. C. Frazier, and Pat Frazier; grandchildren, Chad Mezo, Julie Shwiller, Sarah King, Susannah King, Audrey Mezo, Darlene King, and Beau Lawson; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on SaturdayFeb. 27, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday.
