UTC Tennis Team Takes 7-0 Win Over Lindsey Wilson

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team scored a 7-0 win over Lindsey Wilson at the Champions Club today.  The Mocs evened their spring duals record to 4-4 with today's win, while the Blue Raiders dropped to 3-2. 

UTC opened with a pair of doubles wins to take a 1-0 lead.  Seniors Kayla Jones and Kelsey Cootsdefeated Fiona Curty and Maria Prados 6-1 at No. 1, while freshmen Sydney Patton and Mckenzie Barco beat Natalia Kattah and Gabriella Pedroza 6-2 at No.
3. 

The Mocs swept through the six singles matches without losing a set.  Coots scored a win over Henar Munoz (6-2, 6-3) at No. 1, followed by junior Rachele Gazzola's win at No. 2. 

Senior Alison Storie defeated Kattah (6-0, 6-4) at No. 3 and fellow senior Katie Polk won at No. 4.  Freshman Delaney Edwards won at No. 5 while Patton also had a win at No. 6.

UTC is back on the court tomorrow against Eastern Kentucky at the Champions Club.  First serve is set for Noon (E.S.T.) at the Champions Club.  This is a double header with the men's teams playing at the same time. Links for live scoring are on the schedule pages on GoMocs.com.
