Joseph Gordon
Joseph Daniel Gordon, 15, born March 15, 2001 in Lawrenceville, Georgia, died on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
Joseph was a rising sophomore at Chattanooga Christian School and attended Vineyard of Chattanooga where he played drums with the youth worship team. He was an optional gymnast with the Cartersville Twisters, where he excelled at high bar in which he placed fourth at this year’s Level 9, Region 8 competition. He was a great teammate who cared about those around him. He was quick witted but easygoing, goofy but intelligent, sarcastic but kind. He was an eternal optimist with a generous spirit, and a good heart. He was an amazing brother who gave and received authentic love and an irreplaceable son.
He is survived by his parents, Randy and Doralee Gordon; sister, Nicolette; brother, Evan; grandparents, Herman and Barbara Dietsch, Huntingdon Valley, PA; Kenneth and JoAnn Gordon, Albany, OR and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He is also survived by his gym squad brothers who will serve as pallbearers.
A celebration of life service will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 20, at GraceWorks Church, 6445 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37421. Burial will precede the memorial service at 1:30 p.m.
