Beyond Freedom Of Speech - And Response

  • Monday, January 16, 2017

Yes, most people know about the First Amendment to our Constitution, "The right, guaranteed by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, to express beliefs and ideas without unwarranted government restriction."

I being a "deplorable" draw the line when people block traffic, try to disrupt, and even stop an activity through malice and disregard for others. Case being the losers of the presidential election threatening the inauguration this Friday. We will see what happens, but I don't like the tone that is being set.

Freedom of speech does not allow for freedom to cause riots, mayhem, and probable bloodshed as a result. We are a divided and weak nation and now on center stage as the world will be watching.

Mr. Varner is spot on. It is time for people to look for ways to come together, to improve relations, to seek common goals and seek compromise on others.

All this is not on President-elect Trump but on these petulant "little" Democrats and those small-minded Republicans boycotting the inauguration and declaring Trump's presidency "illegitimate". Very immature acting small-minded and very little people like John Lewis remind me of the children you used to play with that when things didn't go their way, they would declare that "they are taking their ball and going home."

The AJC did a disservice to their readership (probably a couple of people) by declaring Trump "wrong" and standing up for Congressman Lewis. Irrelevant people like Cory Booker, John Lewis, Maxine Walters all think that it brings a spotlight to them to declare Trump...we need to get these "petty" politicians out of office. We need to support Trump until such time as he proves unworthy of it....not before.

Russian hackers did not expose or publish any items that were denied to be true and Comey didn't deal with anything but what HRC herself caused.

It's a shame we have so many gun battles in certain parts of the city. An outside could come in, look at a map with the number of gun incidents and quickly formulate that most of inside Chattanooga ... more
