Frances Chapman
Frances Hunt Chapman, 94, of Chattanooga passed away on November 30, 2017.
She was born and raised in Lavonia, Georgia. Frances was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia. She was a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church, Chattanooga and currently a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Frances was also a member of Home Economists In Homemaking and longtime volunteer at Erlanger.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bruce Dunlap Hunt and Horace Chapman; sisters, Louise Beale and Emma Lee Graham; and grandson, Eric Barton Eatherly.
She is survived by her children, Emily (Paul) Perrine, Nancy Follis and John (Althea) Hunt; grandchildren, Todd (Teresa) Grainger, Martha Beavers and Michael (Kelly) Hunt, great-grandchildren, Luke Grainger and Ruby Beavers and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road #102, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421 or Bethel Bible Village, 3001 Hamill Road, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with a funeral service following after at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with Reverend Bill Harvey officiating. A graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
Arrangements are held by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
