Alfonzo “Wowo” Peavey, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 in a local hospital. 

He was a Riverside High School graduate.  Alfonzo was formerly employed by Signal Plating and attended Wesley Chapel Christian Community Church. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Emanuel Peavey, Jr.; sisters, Gloria Ann Peavey and Wanda Jean Peavey Smith; son, Jermaine. 

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Peavey; daughters, Chasity, Georgetta, Yolanda, and Tasha; sons, Timothy and Zarious; grandchildren, Timeya, Kaylyn, Joshua, Jacob, and Lahja; mother, Annie Lee Peavey; sisters, Reverend Brenda (Curtis) Benn, Raenetha (Kenny) Walker, Jennie Scruggs, Robin Douglas, and Vinci (Micheal) Douglas; uncle, A.D. Williams; aunt, Agnes Williams; nieces, LaKeycha, Charmonie (Terry), Demetria, and RaeKenya; nephews, Deres (Victoria) and Anthony (Melonie); brother-in-law, George Coleman; sister-in-law, Marcia Brooks; a host of cousins; other relatives and friends. 

He will lie in state on Wednesday, April 26, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 27, at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
