Thomas Shope
Thomas “Tom” Earl Shope, 60, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017, at his residence.
He was born on November 9, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tom was the owner/operator of XMT Enterprises in Chattanooga, leased to SWIFT, agent of US XPRESS.
He was of the Episcopal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Marilynne Hakes Shope, daughter, Christina Dawn Shope, both of Ooltewah, TN, son, Avery Hakes, of Ringgold, GA, grandson, Jeremiah Hakes, two sisters, Margaret (Mike) Manz, of Hixson, TN and Harriett (Larry) Ching, of Alvin, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Paul Lee officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the funeral home.
