William David Pickard, Jr. “Will”, 51, of Chickamauga, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at his residence.

He was a lifelong resident of Georgia and was a 1984 graduate of Duluth High School.  Will worked for several years in Atlanta for Frito Lay and the past 20 years for Mayfield where he delivered to many schools and businesses in the Chattanooga Valley and Lookout Valley area.  He was a member of the Center Point Baptist Church and was an avid Georgia Tech fan.  Will enjoyed life.  He taught himself to play the guitar and the harmonica, he had a puppet ministry throughout the years, and he loved working with children and teens.  He enjoyed bowling, collecting cards and going to card shows, and was unbeatable at Rook.  Will was a jokester and was always looking for a way to make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, J.L. and Lucille Pickard and his maternal grandparents, Joe and Mauraine Carpenter.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Shannon Pickard; three children, Jessica Pickard, Nathaniel Pickard, and Molly Pickard, all of Chickamauga; parents, Reverend William David Pickard, Sr. and Dorothy Pickard of Rossville; sisters, Mary (Tim) Oliver of Flowery Branch, GA, and Susan (Richard) Oates of Buford, GA; brother, Thomas (Jennifer) Pickard of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
