The Lady Cougars volleyball team has signed their first recruit for the 2019-2020 season. Katlyn Knight, from Maynardville, TN has signed the dotted line with Cleveland State.

Katlyn has played volleyball for six years, 4 of which were for Union County High School. She received Libero of the Year awards in 2016 and 2018 while making the All-District Team in 2017.

When asked about the deciding factor on signing with the Lady Cougars, Katlyn said, "I love the atmosphere at Cleveland State.

It's close to Chattanooga and I'm excited to move away from home."

She continued, "I am so blessed to have this opportunity to come to Cleveland State to continue my volleyball career. I am excited to meet new people and to start open gyms with the team and coaches. That's another factor that made me want to sign here, Coach Alizabeth has been so helpful and made Cleveland State feel like home."

Coming in as a libero, Katlyn will prove to be a valuable asset for the Lady Cougars for the upcoming 2019 season.
