  • Thursday, November 29, 2018

A Chattanooga startup that raised a multi-million-dollar seed round this spring is up to almost a dozen employees and hiring more.

Officials of Used Equipment Guide said, "We have 11 employees in the Chattanooga area and we are still hiring for a few select sales positions."

Used Equipment Guide is a search engine for used heavy equipment.

It is located at the corner of Jersey Pike and Bonny Oaks Drive.

The company was founded in Asheville, N.C., and still has a small office there.

The founder and president, Jeremy Balog, moved to Chattanooga to launch the business. Clint Lawing, director of marketing, is the only employee in the Chattanooga office to relocate from Asheville.
