Police In Holiday Traffic Enforcement Effort Make 8 DUI Arrests On Thursday Night, Stop 79 For Speeding

The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) and other area law enforcement agencies are working together to increase impaired and distracted driving enforcement.
 
On Thursday night, the increased enforcement effort yielded 150 moving citations and 77 non-moving citations.
 
They included citations for three reckless driving cases, 12 due care cases and 79 speeding cases.
 
There were eight DUI arrests.
 
 The increased enforcement action runs through 6 a.m. on Jan. 2.
