Review for Dylan Kussman:

Although probably best known as the 'red headed traitor' of 1989's teen summer smash, Dylan Kussman’s career in the entertainment world reaches back much farther than his breakthrough debut as Richard Cameron in Dead Poet's Society.

The scion of a showbiz family (Dylan’s mother comes from theatre, his father from television), Mr. Kussman had been working in television for several years prior to his big-screen debut and can be seen in Silver Sppons (1987), Day by Day and Punky Brewster (both 1988) and Married with Children (1989).

More recently, he has acted alongside Tom Cruise in the part of Gary in Jack Reacher (2012), as well as acting as the screenwriter for Mr. Cruise's fantasy film The Mummy (2017).

On the 'Chattanooga front,' Mr. Kussman can be spotted in Leatherheads (filmed partially here in 2008) with George Clooney in the role of Soldier Frank as well as in the role of Charlie Madison in the locally filmed web series 'The Steps' (2010), which he wrote and directed in North Chattanooga.

Also on his own, Mr. Kussman has directed Wrestling Jerusalem, a cinematic journey of one man into the heart of the Israeli - Palestinian story.

Mr. Kussman holds a theatre degree from UC Berkeley, and has been active in the San Francisco music and theater scene. He has also acted in Chattanooga’s growing theatre scene, having played the part of Macbeth with the Chattanooga State Repertory Theatre, The Laramie Project with the Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga, and Twelve Angry Jurors with the Destiny Theatre Company.

In the summer of 2009 Mr. Kussman moved back to Chattanooga to be near his wife’s family. A former L.A. native, Dylan still acts in films frequently, although sheepishly admitting that "all of the work is just south of here . . . “
