I Stand With Commissioner Tim Boyd - And Response (3)

  • Wednesday, April 11, 2018

I am reading the Chattanoogan story of the indictment of Commissioner Tim Boyd.

Indictments are bologna sandwiches, so they say.  One side, called the government, gets to present their position, and so the government issues warrants for arrest.

That is why the public does not trust these allegations, people lie and only selective information is presented.

First reason, I doubt this indictment:

There is good cause to doubt every aspect of this indictment, and the timing speaks volumes.  We are approaching early voting.  Campaign season is a time for all of Commissioner Boyd’s enemies to join hands and collectively attempt to take him out of office.

Second reason, I doubt this indictment:

I know Commissioner Boyd, trust him, and he is an excellent public servant that is not afraid to step on toes for the public’s interest. It appears he has stepped on too many power structure toes.   He regularly calls spending down, more so than the other sleepers on the Hamilton County Commission, and making enemies along the way.

Third reason, I doubt this indictment:

I believe that when Commission Boyd took on the power structure at the Convention and Visitors Bureau for $9 million revenue stream, a huge target was placed on his back for removal by reputation destruction.

That is how power structure takes out the people that speak against them publicly.  They absolutely do.  I have no doubt that Commissioner Tim Boyd is a target.  I don’t have a nickels worth of trust in the government’s case against him.

Fourth reason, I doubt this indictment:

The first advice given to candidates is shred your mail and take your garbage to the dump yourself, opposition will go through garage and even in your mail box.  Politics is a vicious at campaign time, and in this case, possibly malicious.

If Commissioner Boyd has made an error, the truth will come out.

Until then, we should not abandon Commissioner Tim Boyd until he is proven guilty.

I stand with Commissioner Tim Boyd.

April I think many agree with you. Look at Lambert’s track record to start with, dirty politics have always been his forte. It seems rather odd these things always come out a couple of days before election time.

I recall back in 2014 when Lambert was seeking re-election for mayor in East Ridge and he had a local company conduct a robo call the night before the election. The allegations were totally false and the company stopped the calls immediately when they were confronted with a possible lawsuit.

If he wants to play dirty he should have thought about some of the contributors to his campaign. This in my opinion is no different than what happened back in the day when G.W. White operated the same way. It’s pay to play so to speak.

I think the voters will read right through this and re-elect Mr. Boyd , who is a good man and stands for right is right unlike his opponent. April, hopefully you and I won’t be indicted for speaking our opinions.

Politics is a very serious business especially when it comes to solving issues in the district we live in. We need someone we can trust to address important issues and that will listen with an open mind and not shut the door.

Tim Boyd is my choice to watch over District 8 in Hamilton County.

Tim Boyd deserves our support from the attacks of the establishment and a so called fellow Republican Brent Lambert.  Mr. Lambert receives most of his donations (percent wise--per article in The Chattanoogan) from Democrats in his campaign disclosure.  I understand the right to accept and give money to whomever you want, but I find it strange none the less.

Mr. Lambert has tried to turn the voters against Mr. Boyd but I believe it will just show everyone what he is really like.  Every vote counts and no one should sit at home this time.
