Yoga on Union announces Tofurky Yoga Burn and Adopt-a-Turkey will be held on Thanksgiving Eve at Thrive Yoga and Wellness, at 7633 East Brainerd Road, on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Led by yoga instructor and vegan activist Missy Crutchfield, the Tofurky Yoga Burn will help raise funds for Farm Sanctuary and will help kick off Yoga on Union’s new Vegan Yoga series coming to local studios beginning Dec. 4.

Through a new partnership with Athleta, each participant in the Tofurky Yoga Burn will receive a 20 percent off discount card for the new Chattanooga location on Gunbarrel Road. Available while supplies lasts.

Beginning on Dec. 4, Vegan Vinyasa will take place at Toe’s Yoga at 3228 Brainerd Road, on Wednesdays from 5:15-6:30 p.m.

Ms. Crutchfield said, “Vegan Vinyasa is a celebration of Ahimsa and practicing 'nonviolence' as a way of life. This is a brand new class for the vegan and vegan-curious as well. There will be occasional vegan meet and greets, special artist appearances, and creative collaborations incorporated into the vegan yoga gathering. We invite all those wanting to go deeper into yoga, ahimsa, and practicing compassion for all—through mind, body, spirit, people and planet.”
