Pratt Home Builders Sponsors A Full Build For Habitat For Humanity

  • Wednesday, November 6, 2019

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga’s Home Builders Blitz home is officially completed and move in ready, thanks to Pratt Home Builders. Pratt Home Builders built the home for Micheala Borngne in the Villages at Alton Park.

Ms. Borngne has a teenage daughter, disabled son, and one-year old grandson. She is currently working full time and attending school at Chattanooga State.

This home was an accelerated build during the month of September during the Home Builders Blitz Week.

Ms. Borngne’s son, SJ, has cerebral palsy, and due to this, special modifications needed to be made to the home so that it could be fully accessible for all family members. Modifications included making a zero-entry entrance and an accessible shower for SJ. Pratt Home Builders is the first builder in Chattanooga to sponsor a full home build, completing the project from start to finish.

Pratt Home Builders director of marketing Cheryl Moore said, “The Pratt Home Builders team was thrilled to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga to provide a new construction home for Micheala Borngne and her family. We are honored to be their first builder partner with them on their Home Builders Blitz project. As Chattanooga’s leading builder, we aspire to build community and lead by example in showing what being a good neighbor can look like. We are still a local business and a family-owned company and we live here, too. Everyone on our team was so honored to have this special opportunity to give back in a way that meant so much to us since the idea of home is very important to all of us. We know home is the backdrop for where life’s special memories happen, and we’re thrilled to see Michaela start her new chapter in her new home.”
