Hundreds of local and area residents visited Rock City’s Enchanted Garden of Lights on Sunday evening. The event features over a million LED lights and continues daily from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. through Jan. 4 (closed Christmas Eve night).

Eight people died on Monday morning in a fire that raced along the Tennessee River at Scottsboro, Ala. A man said his daughter and five grandchildren are among the victims.
