Richard Hubert
Richard “Mike” John Hubert, 79, of LaFayette, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019.
He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Mike retired from Roper Corporation after 40 years of service where he was an engineer. An excellent wood craftsmen, he enjoyed craft shows and taught wood turning for many summers at Lookout Mountain Camp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Hubert and Eleanor Hebert Hubert; sister, Janice Patnaude; and brothers, Earl J. Hubert, Jerald E. Hubert, Raymond J. Hubert, Thomas Hubert, and James C. Hubert.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Hubert; children, Michael (Valerie) Hubert and Jessica Hubert; granddaughter, Iris Hubert; sisters, Deanna St. Aubin, Sharon Brough, Donna (Rodney) Franklin, Mary (Ray) Robinson, Merissa Hubert, Charlene (Wayne) Muse, Deborah (Max) Hughes, and Cheryl (Jim) Leadingham; brothers, Butch (Susie) Hubert, Donald Hubert, John (Sandy) Hubert, and Bill (Becky) Hubert; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chuck Romain officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service after 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, at Mays – Croley Cemetery in Williamsburg, Ky.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
