Longtime Chattanooga Resident Graduated From Brainerd Baptist School

Michelle Weaver Henry, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, December 30, 2019, following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). She was 47 years old.

 

Michelle was born in Detroit, Mi. She was the daughter of Suzy and Herman Weaver. Her father, Herman Weaver was a professional football player, who spent 11 years in the NFL for both the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks. After her father's retirement from football, Michelle and her family moved to the Chattanooga area in 1985. Michelle graduated high school from Brainerd Baptist in 1990 and has been a resident of Chattanooga ever since.

 

In her final months, Michelle lived at and was provided loving professional medical care at Welcome Home of Chattanooga. The wonderful staff of Welcome Home surrounded Michelle with love and compassion and the grace to enjoy time with her family and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Suzanne (Suzy) Holterhoff Weaver.

 

Michelle leaves behind immediate family in her son, Benjamin Cole Henry; her father, William Herman Weaver; and her brother and sister-in law William Herman Weaver, Jr. (Shay) of Alpharetta, Ga.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Jan. 5, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home located at 5401 TN-153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.

 

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., immediately followed by a service at 3 p.m.
