James Beck
James Henry Beck, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019, in a local health care facility.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Henry Mae Beck; parents, Joe and Lavenia Beck, Sr.; brothers, Joe Beck, Jr., Roosevelt Beck, and Robert Thornton; daughter, Cheowanna Beck; and granddaughter, Natalia Beck.
Survivors include his daughters, Darlene Young of Miami, Yolanda (Lynn) Beck of Eufaula, Al., and Danjrial Beck of Miami; loved as a daughter, Nevaeh Minton of Chattanooga; stepsons, Don Mayes and Kelvin Clark; stepchildren, Brenda (Herman) Locklin, Carolyn Mayes, Thelma Westfield, Sharon (Timothy) Newson; Delores (Eric) Custer, and Josephine (Tommy) Elliott; special nephew, Richard Beck; special cousin, Pat Zeigler; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Friday, Feb. 22, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 10 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Wayne L. Johnson as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
