Parkridge East Hospital Hosts Mommy To Be Maternity Event May 4

  • Monday, April 29, 2019

Mommy to Be will be held Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Parkridge East, 941 Spring Creek Road in Chattanooga.

"The Birth Place at Parkridge East Hospital has been a Chattanooga leader in obstetrics for nearly 50 years," officials said. "Our commitment to shepherding expectant families through labor and delivery begins with a robust offering of supportive educational offerings that prepare families for what to expect during pregnancy and delivery. Mommy to Be, our hospital’s signature Women’s Services event, serves to welcome expectant families to Parkridge East and introduce them to the breadth of services we provide."

Mommy to Be introduces guests to the full breadth of services available at The Birth Place at Parkridge East, including the Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby and the level III Neonatal Intensive Care units. Providers from each unit will be on hand to discuss their roles in the labor and delivery process and engage with guests during a comprehensive question-and-answer panel.

Expectant mothers and their guest will tour The Birth Place and be honored at a special baby shower.

Julie Baumgardner with First Things First will deliver a keynote address on how the arrival of a new baby affects a couple’s relationship.

“Mommy to Be is one of our favorite events at Parkridge East,” said Jarrett Millsaps, CEO of Parkridge East. “We are honored to welcome our special guests to our hospital and introduce them to our multidisciplinary team of compassionate physicians and nurses who will support them throughout labor and delivery.”

The event cost is $10, which includes admission for an expectant mom and one guest. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
