Homer Stone
Homer Lee Stone, Jr., 64, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at his residence.
He was a 1972 graduate of Chattanooga City High School and attended Chattanooga Technical College. Homer attended Rock Island Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Rosie Stone, Sr., grandparents, Edward and Octavia Stone and Willie and Matilda Kirksey; brother, Dwight Stone.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara McDonald Stone; son, Eric McDonald of Chattanooga; brother, Richard Stone of Cookeville, TN; sisters, Gloria Porter of Dayton, OH, Frances Doty of Dayton, and Melva Cooper of Duluth, GA; uncle, James Stone of Atlanta, GA; aunts, Corine Brock of Detroit, MI and Ernestine Williams of Atlanta; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, June 15, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Doty as the eulogist.
