Christopher Roden, 31, Shot While Trying To Break Into Home Of Ex-Girlfriend On Lookout Mountain

Walker County deputies and detectives were on the scene of a shooting on Thursday morning at #6 Ridley Circle on Lookout Mountain. 

Christopher Roden, 31, the ex-boyfriend of Renie Coulter, was trying to break into a residence through a window.  As he was halfway through the window, Roden was shot in the shoulder with a .22 caliber rifle by the home owner, James Ridley. 

Roden was transported to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services.

No charges have been filed against Mr.

Ridley at this time. Charges are pending against Roden.

The location is off Highway 157 near High Point and close to Durham Road.
