He was active well into his 80s and could regularly be found on the tennis court or the golf course.

He is survived by his wife, Honey Conner; five children, Ken (Leah) Conner of Signal Mountain, Tom (Pam) Conner of Powder Springs, Ga., Mary Gordon Conner of Naperville, Il., David Conner of Signal Mountain and Doug (Connie) Conner of Signal Mountain; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a nephew and niece.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, June 10, at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, Signal Mountain.

A visitation to follow in the parish hall. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Chuck’s life.

A private interment is planned for a later date at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, St. Augustine Catholic Church Signal Mountain or Alexian Village Scholarship Fund, 437 Alexian Way Signal Mountain, Tn. 37377.

Arrangements are by Cremation Center of Chattanooga, 1345 Hickory Valley Road, 423 362-5999.
